Victoria Datta Yoga Centre - VDYC - Melbourne

VDYC—Melbourne. Blessed by our beloved Sadguru Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji, the Centre has been registered recently with the objective of spreading the benefits of Healing Music & Kriya Yoga in Australia. VDYC is a "Not for Profit" Organisation and its objectives are achieved by involvement of volunteers & devotees who are working towards Sri Swamiji’s mission.

To begin with, VDYC has organised Sri Swamiji’s visit to Melbourne in March 2008 for a live Healing Music concert as an initiation of VDYC’s ongoing efforts in the field. Being the first of its kind in Melbourne, this concert will be a Free for Public Mega Event. Workshops on Music therapy & Kriya Yoga have also been planned during Sri Swamiji’s visit.

Sri Swamiji is an exponent in healing music therapy and known around the world for many years. Sri Swamiji will be performing this concert with a group of accompanying maestros in instrumental music.

Key Benefits of the Concert:

• Immediate benefit of the concert will be the healing effect/enhancement of the feeling of ‘well being’ to those who attend the concert.
• Long Term benefit will be the creation of awareness of the benefits of Healing Music to the general public of Melbourne.

The Centre is planning to conduct, on a regular basis, activities such as concerts, combined workshops on Healing Music and Kriya Yoga as well as distribute CD’s and books on these topics for the above benefits to be realised by every individual in the society.

The centre is also planning to conduct spiritual activities such as Yoga, meditation and mass prayers for creating positive energy in the environment that will lead to greater prosperity of the country and will enhance the life style of individuals, irrespective of their ethnic background.
